The Massachusetts Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors is the largest construction trade association in the Commonwealth, representing over 450 local general contractor, subcontractor, supplier and associate companies. These companies employ more than 25,000 men and women throughout Massachusetts. Our association exists to advocate for and promote the work of merit shop contractors and their employees who represent the majority of the construction workforce in Massachusetts. We believe that the Commonwealth and its residents are best served through an open and competitive bidding process that allows all contractors an equal opportunity to work.

Representatives from the Gould Construction Institute, ABC MA, Medford Wellington Service Company, Inc. and Windover Construction gathered on May 2 to break ground on a new bricks and mortar facility that will enhance GCI's curriculum with hands-on learning. The Billerica building that will house the facility is owned by Medford Wellington, a long-time member. The ceremony included a gold sledgehammer and shovel symbolizing the groundbreaking. Windover Construction is GC for the 12-week project to build six classrooms with state-of-the-art shop and equipment space for hands-on practical education. They will work with multiple ABC MA member subcontractors. The facility is scheduled to be complete in time for the start of the school year in September.
